Angelica grew up on a small farm in Oklahoma, where she was responsible for taking care of the animals from a young age. Her experience tending to the pigs, horses, cows, chickens, dogs, and cats inspired her to pursue an animal-centric career. She graduated from the Oklahoma State University with a degree in Psychology, and soon found her new home in South Florida where she began volunteering at Big Dog Ranch and Busch Wildlife Sanctuary.
