Pet Sitter in Jensen Beach, FL

Pet Sitter in Jensen BeachHi, I’m Morgan! I’m ready to be your Pet Sitter in Jensen Beach.

Growing up on a farm, I have never known life without animals. From cattle to horses, cats, and dogs, I have had a lot of experience with how important care and effort play in the success of livestock, as well as pets. We always had big dogs in my family, Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes. I have a lot of experience with keeping dogs calm and on a short leash around other dogs. Living on the large secluded property, our dogs were difficult around other pets, usually because the only other animals their size that were around were skunks or raccoons. We regularly had to keep our dogs separate on walks in town or in public places. Our dogs were usually more drawn to people, and would much rather hang with the humans than play with other dogs. I spent many mornings and afternoons taking our dogs on walks or runs to help exercise and burn off extra energy.

After being married for a year, my husband and I decided it was time to get a puppy of our own. My husband grew up with smaller dogs like Yorkies & English Bulldogs, so when deciding on what breed or size of dog we wanted there was a lot of conversation. We talked about what kind of dogs we grew up with, what we liked about their personalities and energy levels, and what we didn’t love. After reading a lot of breed descriptions and looking up many puppy and adult dog photos, we decided on a Corgi – a little dog, with a BIG personality.

Childless by choice at this stage in our life, Mac, our little corgi pup was as close to having a child as we could get. We picked him up as an 8-week-old puppy and spent the next three years loving him, playing with him, walking him, and watching him grow up into a happy, smiley, young adult. Unfortunately, due to an unknown health issue, we lost him suddenly on Christmas day in 2023. We regularly reminisce on what an amazing dog he was, and all the personality that we felt when he was present. He loved to grumble and talk, and was incredibly photogenic, always smiling and ready for a picture and a good butt scratch. He loved to go for walks on the farm where I grew up, and when our neighbors got dogs (two golden retrievers & a toy Aussie), he spent many days roaming the yards with them playing, napping, and sniffing around. It was fun to see him get to know his new friends, and they would regularly join us on our walks. We never got to see him grow up into a full adult and experience the full aspect of the corgi breed, so we are looking forward to adopting a new corgi puppy and experiencing the joy that comes with raising a puppy and seeing their personality unfold.

My husband and I moved to Florida from our home state of Montana in 2024. I am excited to get to know new people and their pets through House & Hound Care. My heart warms every time I see a dog, and will regularly pause the conversation to point out when I see one. Pets are one of the truest friends that we can have, and they provide such a safe space for emotional comfort, empathy, and unconditional love. I am someone who will do everything in my power to show people and animals that they are loved. Whether that is watering a plant that I see is dry, bringing a friend a coffee by surprise, or bringing a special treat for a pup on their birthday, sometimes even a small act can have a huge impact. Finding someone you trust to care for your pet is incredibly important, and I can’t wait to be yourPet Sitter in Jensen Beach!
