My name is Al and I am one of your in-home pet sitting provider in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Born and raised in the Nutmeg State, also known as Connecticut. Growing up, my connection to animals was ingrained from the start, with my father’s bird dog, Freckles, an English Setter, being a constant companion. We would spend countless hours walking in the woods behind our home, which bordered a protected water shed area. This early appreciation for nature and animals has remained with me throughout my life.

In my late 20s, I ventured into a new chapter by acquiring a defunct dairy farm in upstate New York.  We took on the responsibility of breeding Thoroughbred racehorses, registered through the New York Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund Corporation, and raised milk goats to meet our family’s needs. This experience taught me the vital importance of animal husbandry for ensuring the well-being of both livestock and family. Our family expanded to include four dogs—Otto, Elle, Daisy, and Bandit—whom we brought along when we moved to a ranch I procured in Montana.

While I have a rich background in rural environments, I am no stranger to urban living. Right here in Fort Lauderdale, I owned and operated Zeiss Battery Company for many years, gaining a diverse set of experiences. Now, as part of our commitment to providing professional pet care, we are excited to offer a range of services tailored to meet the needs of our clients in the urban setting.
