Hi, I’m Lisa and I am one of your local pet sitter and dog walker. I adore animals of all shapes and sizes. Before pet sitting I have held many different positions in my life. I’ve been a house painter and wall paperer, been a cast member at a Disney Store, managed a Cosmoprof Professional Beauty Supply store, worked as a technician for an In-Home Head Lice Removal Company, been a hair stylist for 40 years and now I cane, rush, and Danish Cord antique chairs and refurbish vintage furniture when I’m not caring for animals.
I enjoy making jewelry, painting, and designing BTS-inspired clothing I learned early on the importance of animal first aid. I had a dog, Boo Boo, who was stung by a bee, he yelped and fell unconscious rather quickly. Luckily my Dad who had been a World War II medic was home and he slapped mud on the sting area and gave Boo CPR while driving to the vet. His quick thinking saved Boo’s life as he was in anaphylactic shock.
I had a pack of rescue Beagles all with different personalities and challenges. Toby was a puppy and just goofy. Georgi was around 10 years old with a heart condition that required meds daily when I adopted him, he was the sweetest dog that would go and face the wall and wait when the others got too rambunctious. Georgi was also the master thief, he would jump from chair to table to counter and push food off to his anxiously awaiting brothers. Willie was his bestie, also around 10 with kidney disease. He could sniff out food in cans! Topper was my special boy, he had been terribly abused, he had been a hunting dog who had shotgun pellets lodged near his spine and he had spent 8 weeks in the hospital recovering from burns where someone had sprayed him with lighter fluid and set him on fire. That sweet boy followed me everywhere but it took a year for him to be able to look directly at me.
