My Name is Alicia, and I am one of your local dog walkers in Stuart, FL. I look forward to meeting and taking care of your beloved pet(s). I have had many years of experience with animals, including dogs, cats, fish, birds, and even hamsters. Growing up, we’ve always had a pet or two. I’ve seen them grow up from a puppy to an old pup to later help them pass over to Rainbow Bridge. I have delt with dogs getting into fights, eating the wrong thing, chasing other animals, and even reactions to other people/animals. I’ve dealt with pet emergencies and pet recoveries. I always make sure my surrounding areas are safe for both of us before heading out on a walk or car ride. Being prepared is key and knowing the area…ie..other pets in the neighborhood, is a plus. Animals sometimes are misunderstood, but I think that if you understand them, it makes the relationship better. I’ve learned over the years to respect their space when needed, understand their moods and temperament, know how to read them, and know they will communicate with you what they want or don’t want. I currently have a Big Boy dog named Buster(mix), who can be moody towards some but loving with others. I strongly believe that if any dog doesn’t like you or the situation, they’re going to let you know in their actions and I am fully aware of it.
If you allow me to care for your pet, whether it’s a dog or cat, know that they will be very well cared for, and loved on. They are our Best Friends, they listen to us when we have a bad day and celebrate when it’s a good day. They wait for us to come home safe and get sad when we leave them behind. It may only be a moment for us, but it’s an eternity for them. It’s sad that they are only here on this earth for a short while. So, know that, together we can make their life a fulfilled one.
